The Robert Pahlke Law Group is proud to announce that Attorney Kyle Long was elected onto the Scottsbluff Board of Education on November 4. With 2,123 votes in his favor, he approaches his new position with optimism for potential growth and gratitude for the opportunity. Attorney Long’s goal is to help improve the Scottsbluff school systems and strengthen the town’s economic growth.
In an article published by the Star Herald, Attorney Long stated, “I’m excited and grateful for the voters and hope to bring positive change and improve education out here.”
Attorney Long has been a lawyer with The Robert Pahlke Law Group for nine years and is passionate about seeking justice. He attended law school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he graduated in 2003 and is settled in Scottsbluff with his wife Natasha and two-year-old son.
Attorney Long and his wife have been heavily involved in the community, providing support for education as well as optometric health care for children. He aims at improving the community and school systems, asking parents to become more involved in their children’s education to ensure their future success.
“That is a big key to help improve the graduation rate,” he said. “I feel the school (SHS) has started to address those issues and I feel an 80 percent grad rate can be improved, but will require involvement of parents to try to make a difference.”
In his lead up to his position on the SBPS Board of Education, Attorney Long attended November board meetings and workshops in order to become more familiar with his position and the community needs.
He also wants to encourage a stronger relationship between education and the Scottsbluff community, claiming that “I feel our school system is a key to communities’ health and long term economic growth.”
Attorney Long will begin his position with the Scottsbluff Board of Education in January.
